Conceptual drumhead for an Alesis pro electronic drum kit.

Objective:
This was a project whose specifications changed drastically half way through the concept phase. At that point the project became a conceptual exercise to explore interesting solutions that integrate real-drum aesthetics with electronic drum technology.

Exploded Assembly:
Quick exploded rendering showing the basic assembly of the drumhead. The faux-baffle gives the unit the acoustic drum look and also allows interchangeability for later edition releases.
